I would like to participate in the Arton Collection Project as...

The Arton Collection Project is collecting art donations created by school age individuals (3-18) or adults that have kept their artwork from "back in the day." Any artwork created in a school setting would be especially fantastic.
We ask all participants to sign a licensure agreement to give Arton the rights to their artwork and the ability to screen print the art along with their first name and age onto apparel and/or promotional materials. Unfortunately, not every submission is guaranteed to make its way onto our apparel. You will be contacted if your artwork is chosen. Because we believe that the artwork always belongs to the artist, if your work is chosen for print and the physical copy has been mailed to the company, it will be returned within 1 year. The apparel will be available in retail stores and very soon online.
If the participant is over 18 and donating artwork he/she created in the past, 10% of the net profits generated from apparel sales exhibiting this art will be donated to Americans for the Arts, a non-profit dedicated to advancing and supporting arts education in America. If the participant is 18 or under, 10% of the proceeds generated will be donated to Americans for the Arts and 5% will be given to the participating child in the form of a scholarship fund. In addition, the artist will receive a t-shirt exhibiting his/her artwork.
If you or your child would like to donate artwork to the Arton Collection Project, please contact jessica@artoncollection.org. Include "artist" as your email subject. Please attach a scan of the artwork or a high resolution picture in the email, along with the title of the piece, name and age of the artist as well as the artist's 3-4 sentence description of the artwork (describing it and what it means to him/her (now and/or then.) Parents, please use your child's exact phrasing. In the email, include age of artist when artwork was created and present age of artist. If you cannot include a scan or picture, send a detailed description of the artwork, age and name of the artist, and mail the original artwork to:

Please read the appropriate licensure agreement before you contact us. You will be asked to download, sign and mail this form to arton if your art donation is chosen for print. We cannot print your art without it.
Once signed, please make a copy of this agreement for your records. If the artwork is mailed to Arton, a return address needs to be included on the licensure agreement. Arton will return the artwork to the artist within 1 year of having received the art and if the address changes, it is the artist's, or his/her guardian's responsibility to contact jessica@artoncollection.org with a forwarding address.
We sincerely thank everyone for their interest and participation in the Arton Collection Project. Please pass the word to your friends and family and if you have any suggestions for future projects or how we can make the process better/easier in the future please email jessica@artoncollection.org. Please include "change" as your email subject.
